Professional microneedling has been proven to improve the appearance of the skin and stimulate collagen production. The needles are between 0.5 and 0.25 millimetres long and create small wounds on the skin, breaking through the top layer of the skin. By creating small controlled wounds, collagen production is stimulated, making the skin stronger and firmer. To achieve the best possible results, a plasma rich in platelets, also known as PRP, is applied after the treatment to promote the healing process.

The derma pen is used for precise microneedling. It is reminiscent of a pen with many small, thin needles attached to the front of the attachment. There are models that are operated by hand, but with electric derma pens the needles are automatically moved up and down at high speed. This ensures that the treated areas of skin are treated evenly. Our modern models have an adjustable needle length. The speed can also be set directly on the device and can therefore be individually adapted to the skin problem.
